Rose Aylett

Rose is a freelance teacher, trainer and CELTA main course tutor, based in Liverpool, UK. She has an academic background in theology, philosophy and Islamic studies, and over 15 years teaching and training experience in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa (including a year in post-revolutionary Libya). She runs CELTAs for centres in the UK, Italy and Bahrain and is a NILE consultant trainer, with a focus on developing English teachers’ critical literacy, critical pedagogy and teacher empowerment. She is a frequent international conference speaker, and the current Joint Coordinator of the IATEFL Global Issues SIG (GISIG), for which she edits a brand-new e-zine, FUTURITY, and produces and hosts The Global Issues Podcast. Her weekends are spent bike-packing and wild camping in the UK’s wonderful national parks.

Alexandra Warden

Alexandra Warden is a freelance teacher, trainer, CELTA and Delta tutor. She completed her CELTA at International House Barcelona over 18 years ago and has since worked for IH and British Council in Poland, Japan and Colombia and is now based in Milan, Italy. Alex completed her MA in Professional Development for Language Education 5 years ago and her dissertation focussed on using a Flipped Classroom approach for language learning. Her other areas of professional interest include using technology in the classroom, vocabulary learning and professional development. In her free time, Alex enjoys climbing, hiking, travelling and eating amazing food!  

Graham Appleton

Graham is a freelance teacher, trainer and CELTA tutor, based in York, UK. He has an academic background in archaeology, art history and Latin. He has been on field excavations in the UK, and for his postgraduate degree did archaeological research on Roman sites around the Bay of Naples. He has over 25 years’ teaching and training experience in Europe, the Middle East, and Mexico. He has run CELTAs for centres in the UK, Italy, Lebanon and Abu Dhabi. His areas of professional interest include learning theories and materials development. He enjoys travel and takes every opportunity to explore the archaeology, history and food of the countries he visits.

Milada Krajewska


Milada Krajewska is a teacher, teacher trainer, ELT author and independent materials designer (storybarrio.com) as well as a freelance CELTA tutor.
She works with European teacher training centres (mostly Spain, Italy and France)  as well as on her home turf (as Head of CELTA and Main Course Tutor with LANG LTC in Warsaw, Poland).  She also trains Celta tutors and helps to set up new CELTA centres. With an MA in English Studies & TEFL and a postgraduate diploma in Business Training,  she’s been teaching and learning from her students of all ages for over 20 years. As a TEDx presenters coach, ELT content editor, self-publishing project manager and conference organiser, she has been collecting inspiration for 15 years now. 
Her ELT passions include creative story-based lesson design; cognitive science for learning, feedback-feedforward and learning experience design. In private, she is torn between a walk on the beach, learning Spanish, all things design, a good laugh, good old-fashioned conversation, new flavours, beautifully published books and … cocker spaniels.
